Warranty Information

FIVE (5) YEAR FRAME WARRANTY - Oceanic Trailers warrants each boat trailer frame to be free of structural or welding defects for a period of five years from the date of original purchase.

TWO (2) YEAR WARRANTY - Oceanic Trailers warrants its fabricated steel components to be free of structural or welding defects for a period of two years.

ONE (1) YEAR WARRANTY - Oceanic Trailers warrants the hot dipped galvanized finish of each boat trailers surface against red rust for one year from date of manufacture on the compliance plate. This also includes fabricated components manufactured by Oceanic Trailers. Cosmetic surface rust is not covered under this warranty.

SIX (6) MONTHS WARRANTY - Oceanic Trailers provides a general fitness warranty for a period of six months from the original purchase date with regards to lighting, hydraulic braking equipment, axle, bearings (excluding water entry), seals, tyres (excluding tyre wear), springs, calipers, hubs, jockey wheels, and the surface finish of wheels. OBLIGATIONS - Oceanic Trailers shall replace or repair within reasonable time any item covered under the warranties above by methods or solutions decided by Oceanic Trailers staff. It is the owner's responsibility and cost to return the trailer to Oceanic Trailers factory or to the Dealer for approved warranty work. All trailers or parts under warranty must be returned to Oceanic Trailers factory or customers place of purchase. All warranty claims need prior authorisation by Oceanic Trailers. Oceanic Trailers is under no obligation to collect trailers, or repair trailers off site.

CONDITIONS/LIMITED LIABILITY/NOT COVERED:

Oceanic Warranty extends to the original purchaser only. The warranty does not cover any person to whom the trailer is transferred. All warranty claims are subject to original owner's proof of purchase and date of purchase and may be subject to delivery of the trailer and or part to place of purchase or Oceanic Trailers factory at owner's expense.

This warranty shall be automatically void if any modification to the trailer is made without prior written authorisation from Oceanic Trailers.

Only an Oceanic Trailers authorised dealer who has received prior written authorisation from Oceanic Trailers for such specific service or repair, or the Oceanic Trailers Factory shall be authorised to service or correct any defect in material and workmanship found in any trailer covered by this warranty.

This warranty does not cover the cosmetic appearance, white rust i.e., natural oxidation of the galvanized surface. Including cosmetic rust on painted, powder coated or zinc coated surfaces, brake pads, brake cable, winch straps, bow, and keel & wobble rollers, skids, rubber wheels, galvanizing on moving components such as springs, axles and other moving parts.

Oceanic Trailers warranty does not cover for misuse, damaged caused by alterations or modifications, fair wear and tear, accidents, effects from overloading stated mass load on the trailer certificate plate, or incorrect boat setup, and off-road use.

Oceanic Trailers reserve the right to make design changes in trailers built and/or sold at any time without incurring any obligation to make the same or similar changes to trailers previously built and/or sold by them.

Oceanic Trailers will not cover any claim arising from negligence, accidental, economic or consequential loss or damage to the owner or to a third party, or failure to perform recommended maintenance services.

COMMERCIAL AND OFF ROAD USE:

Oceanic Trailers do not warrant any trailer used commercially or off-road e.g. (Dirt roads due to corrugation). Warrant that Oceanic Trailers are suitable for a particular off-road or commercial application.

OWNERS RESPONSIBILITY:

Trailers will not be warranted if proof of service is not provided.

Oceanic Trailers recommends that your trailer be serviced at least once a year, with brakes and bearings requiring six monthly service attention. Checks should be done on all your running gear including bearings, hubs, brakes, wheels and tyres. Wash your trailer down after each use. Washing needs to be done inside and out, cross members have flushing holes on each side under the frame, and check that all bolts and nuts are tight. Regular maintenance will lengthen the life of the trailer and keep the trailer in safe operation.

THIS WARRANTY IS EXPRESSLY MADE IN LIEU OF ANY AND ALL OTHER WARRANTIES EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE WARRANTIES OF FITNESS AND MERCHANTABILITY FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE; AND IS LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE TERM SPECIFIED HEREIN, AND NO PERSON, FIRM OR ENTITY IS AUTHORISED TO MAKE ANY FURTHER OR ADDITIONAL WARRANTIES ON BEHALF OF OCEANIC MARINE PTY LTD.

How to make a Warranty claim: Contact the supplier from where you purchased the goods. You also have the option to contact the manufacture of the goods for warranty claims and processing instructions.
